The Director of Al-Bayda’a Health Office praises NFDHR's efforts in the field of cholera epidemic control and health promoting

The Director of Al-Bayda’a Health Office (Dr. Fouad Edries) praises NFDHR's efforts in the field of cholera epidemic control and health promoting.
 
Dr. Edries, during his visit to Rada’a Old Hospital’s ORCs on January 6th 2018, stated that the health services which are being provided by medical teams made a direct contribution to reducing the incidence of cholera and other acute watery diarrhea, and has promoted health awareness and health education in the governorate within the activities of Health and WASH Integrated Response for IDPs and Those Most Vulnerable to Cholera Project. Furthermore, Dr. Faysal Grad – NFDHR’S field officer – explained to them  NFDHR's interventions in the governorate since the first cholera outbreak recorded case in the in October 2016.
 
The Director General of the Health Bureau of the Medical Coordinator of the Foundation in the province of Baidah, Dr. Faisal Jarad, to explain the extensive activities of the Foundation in the province since the registration of the first cholera epidemic in the province in October 2016.
 
Also, the director of the Rada’a Health office (Dr. Mohammed Al-Habsi) described the important role of the medical teams and the ORCs of and its contribution to fight the cholera epidemic, and he pointed out that the treatment center of acute watery diarrhea in the city of Reda serves the district of Rada'a and all the surrounding districts. Dr. Al-Habsi expressed his thanks to all the health and WASH field which is working 24/7 to eliminate the cholera epidemic in Al-Bayda governorate.
 
Besides, the National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response has implemented 3 projects since October 2016 to fight the cholera epidemic, and launched last month a fourth project.
