NFDHR launches an emergency health and nutrition project in Al- Bayda Governorate funded by UNICEF

On Wednesday July 4th, 2018, National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) launched an Emergency Health and Nutrition Project, to be implemented in Al-Bayda Governorate.
The project aims to support 40 health facilities in all districts of Al-Bayda Governorate, funded by UNICEF.
The Director of Public Health and Population Offices in Al-Bayda Governorate, Dr. Fuad Edrees, praised the efforts of NFDHR and its role in supporting the health sector in Al-Bayda governorate by operating the health facilities to provide health care services, to constrict the cholera epidemic and to rehabilitate the health facilities and provide them with furniture and equipment, stressing that NFDHR is a sincere partner to the health office in the governorate.
Dr. Abdul Wahab Zainah the Health and Nutrition Program manager at NFDHR, gave a brief presentation on the emergency health and nutrition project and its activities that will be implemented over a full year, and the role of health offices in Al-Bayda districts to oversee the implementation of these activities.
He implored the mangers of the health offices in Al-Bayda districts to nominate health facilities that will be targeted according to the criteria set by NFDHR and the donor.
Praising the cooperation of the local authority in Al-Bayda Governorate during the implementation of previous projects.
Dr. Faisal Jarad , the field  coordinator of NFDHR  in  Al-Bayda Governorate, gave  a presentation of NFDHR interventions in Al-Bayda Governorate since 2016 ,   especially after the outbreak of cholera epidemic , and the impact of these interventions in supporting  the health system ,  prevention of cholera epidemic ,  promotion of environmental awareness and community health awareness among  the community  .
The participants in the workshop learned about NFDHR development and relief projects through the presentation of a documentary film that broadcast the achievements of the Foundation since its establishment in 2012.
