About NFDHR

The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) is a local non for profit and non-governmental organization that was established in June 2012 to enhance the community participation in service provision, advocate and monitor policies, encourage women and youth participation at local and national levels, and build resilience of societies affected by natural crises or armed conflicts.

Aims at:
  1. Promoting community awareness about the importance of investing in education and health, building the capacity of youth and women to enhance their roles and opportunities to participate in the development process, enhancing decision-making, and activating the role of humanitarian response.
  2. Contributing to the efforts and actions aimed eliminating social and law obstacles, which limit women's access to decision-making positions concerning political and economic matters.
  3. Raising participation level of Yemeni communities affected by armed conflicts in the relief process and contributing to the provision of basic services; conflict resolution and advocacy for adopting a culture of peace and rejecting a culture of hatred, violence and war.
  4. Contributing to improving the quality of information that ensures precise indicators on development issues and humanitarian response to be used in planning, evaluation, and measuring the impact of sustainable development programs.
