National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) launched, Monday, November 9th, "I Miss My School" campaign to support education in Al Garrahi District, Al- Hudaydah; funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Coordination and Management of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA).
Implemented as part of the emergency response for education services project, the campaign supports 10000 students in 14 schools with school bags including stationery. The activities of the project also include providing 13 schools with 1050 school seats, establishing 10 classrooms equipped with seats, providing schools with 100 boards, and rehabilitating 18 school toilets.
“I Miss My School” campaign also included five sketches performed by the Yemen Artistic Troupe, led by artist Khaled Al-Bahri, demonstrating the importance of educating boys and girls, encouraging children to return to their schools, and motivating parents to enroll their children in schools, especially girls.
During the past years, NFDHR has implemented four return-to-school campaigns in the governorates of Al-Dhale'e, Taiz, Al-Jawf and Saadah, aiming to help continue the educational process in the targeted areas.
