NFDHR launch water, health, nutrition and shelter project in the governorates of Al-Bayda and Hajjah



The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) has launched a project providing emergency response in the field of water, environmental sanitation, health, nutrition and shelter, in the districts of Al-Sawadiya and Kushar in the governorates of Al-Bayda and Hajjah. The project is funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and is in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The project aims to provide life-saving services to 36,386 beneficiaries with urgent needs in frontlines, hard-to-reach, and underserved areas.
The project activities include the rehabilitation of three water projects, clean-up campaigns and awareness sessions for beneficiaries in the targeted areas. The health component focuses on the rehabilitation of 7 health facilities, including a rural hospital, supporting them with operating expenses to enable them provide primary health care services, and providing them with medicines and financial incentives for health workers. The shelter component provides beneficiaries with shelter bags and non-food items.
